Comentario del broker

This Ingrid 38 was professionally built and commisioned in 1995 by renowned boat builder, Howard Makela (Makela Boatworks) and she is constructed of Douglas Fir planking on White Oak framing.

She was hauled out in 2025 and had a stem to stern refresh by the current owners; a pair of very fastidious and detail oriented graduates of the PNW Wooden Boat School in Port Townsend WA.

As with all Ingrids, she is a heavy, stable blue water sailboat. Trustworthy and solid, she goes where she is pointed without complaining. No doubt, she can keep her crew safe and comfortable in any sea state.

She is also one of very few Ingrids that is offered as a pilot house. All records including drafts and blueprints are available.

In the cabin, you'll find a warm and bright array of cabinetry and joinery that is as solid as the day she was commissioned. A cabinet full of build sheets, system records and manuals will be included with sale and available for viewing for interested buyer. Inside and out she shows wonderfully and is "right as rain" structurally as well as aesthetically". Her interior is dry and clean. All fittings and joinery are tight. No stains or signs of water ingress around fittings. Bilges are dry and clean.

She has a modern Raytheon Radar along with Raymarine, and KVT navionics. All systems function as they should. She needs nothing except a mindful owner, provisioning and desire to carry on.

Her current owners are the 3rd. They are true mariners as well as skilled shipwrights. She has been well loved and cared for, however, a new opportunity has been presented so they have decided to sell.

This Ingrid 38 presents a rare opportunity for the solo sailor or couple to venture off into the deep blue or live aboard and travel the Pacific Northwest.
