Broker's Comments
I am pleased to be able to offer this classic Freeman 27 river cruiser, presented in what appears to be in generally good original condition.
She benefits from a recent new pump out toilet and holding tank plus hot water and shower. Her upholstery is very tidy and undamaged to my eye and very comfortable. Her whole interior is very, very nice indeed and her wood work is also very good.
This boat benefits from a fresh BSS certificate to October 2028. She has been recently serviced and also had a new starter motor and cutlass bearing in the last 12 months. She has also recently had new interior carpets fitted which look and feel very nice.
She is very original throughout and her wood work is in exceptionally nice condition for her age. She is powered by an economical single BMC diesel so is very cost effective to run. This engine appears to start and run very well and has been nothing but reliable for the current owner.
She has all the classic accommodation of a Freeman and can sleep 4 in Freeman comfort! These 27 foot models are very sought-after as they are a scaled up version of the smaller Freemans, just with more space and room to relax.
The boat is a 1980 version and appears to be in good overall condition. There is a minor split in the rear bench seat which is a cheap and simple fix; other than that she is very presentable - clean and tidy inside.
It should be noted that this boat appears to be presented in gelcoat topsides (and this looks to be in good condition) with a painted hull with only the deck tread-way paint in need of any repainting work to the anti-slip coating. This area is in need of repainting which is a simple matter to do over a weekend or so and would make her very tidy indeed.
She also has a new start battery and a new gas hose fitted.
If you are looking for a classically styled, spacious river boat from a well respected manufacturer, and with oodles of style and a good following, then this could be the boat for you. Early viewing is recommended as these boats are popular.
The boat did have davits and a bolt on bathing platform but these have been removed by the current owner.
